Spring is here! Our seasonal shift skincare tips.

Laura Vanags Photography

Australia’s springtime is here and as the weather begins to warm, our skin can face a few transitional shifts. We cover how to get through these challenges and have a smooth transition from your winter skin to your inner spring!

  1. Opt for an oil cleanser - Oil cleansing is a gentle way to remove makeup or to replace your regular cleanser. Oil cleansing is an age-old method of cleansing the skin with oil to remove impurities in the pores without drying the skin. You’ll notice that your skins oil levels won’t fluctuate so dramatically throughout the day & your skin will feel cleansed and gently nourished. Hart Skincare’s Cycle Cleanser Collection is our fave!

  2. Reduce your moisturiser consumption - if you follow our first tip, you’ll notice that you won’t need to use as much moisturiser. But, if you’re combining a foaming cleanser with your oil cleansing ritual, you may still like to keep hold of your moisturiser, just go a little lighter as your skin won’t need so much in the warmer weather but remember to listen to your body, if you feel you need more, go for it! Our Glow Facial Oil is very light, perfect for a summery glow.

  3. Increase water intake - plump, hydrated skin starts from the inside! Always drink plenty of water, around 30ml’s per kg of your body weight is a good guide.

  4. Spring clean your skincare - get all of your products out, including your makeup, and check expiry dates and get rid of anything thats not great! Good quality skincare has a shorter shelf life, so keep this in mind when purchasing your next products, choose carefully & mindfully.

  5. Gentle exfoliation - get rid of the scratchy scrubs and opt for super gentle exfoliation products that promote natural cell renewal. Wildcrafted Organics Wild Berry Honey Cleanse | Exfoliant | Masque is beautiful & so gentle. Use once a week or as desired - your skin will thank you. (Plus, we love to support our fellow small, natural skincare companies!)
