Why Cycle Tracking Is A Life Changer

Tracking your cycle can be a life-changer.

Understanding when your body feels more energetic, productive, tired, aroused, fun, creative, social etc is such a blessing. When you can pair your cycle symptom tracking with the phases of your cycle, you can really begin to uncover more about your body and how you can best manage your time in accordance with your cycle. For example, in the menstrual phase, if you often feel tired and inward-focussed, you might like to leave the first couple of days of your cycle more free for rest and recooperation.

The importance of cycle tracking extends beyond just scheduling your social life, it can be helpful in order to feel more accepting towards yourself at certain times, like when you feel tired and not up for a HIIT session at the same time each cycle, it can feel great to know that this is a normal part of your cycle and that its nothing to be annoyed at yourself for. I have always felt that tracking my cycle has allowed myself to be more self-accepting and compassionate.

Tracking your cycle can be a crucial aspect of taking care of your health, many people in the holistic health and menstrual cycle-related industries are now referring to the menstrual cycle as a fifth vital sign. Our menstrual cycles give us a huge amount of information of our overall health, such as if we are over or under exercising, oestrogen dominant, progesterone dominant, eating badly, etc - as our hormones play such a huge role in our skin health, our skin is also a very visual clue to our cycle health, and therefore our overall health. Each time i get a breakout, i feel thankful that my body is giving me these messages to let me know if I haven’t been eating well or i have been overly stressed (aka, its time to take a break!).

Here at Hart Skincare, I aim to provide you with effortless ways to, first and foremost, understand your cycle, and then integrate cycle tracking, cyclical skincare and further resources when the time is right for you.
