Oil Cleansing

What is an oil cleanser?

Oil Cleansers are a natural, oil-based facial cleanser with no water component.

Hart Skincare’s cleansers are comprised of purely natural oils such as jojoba oil, macadamia oil, apricot kernel oil and sweet almond oil. They’re making a huge scene in the skincare industry, and for good reason.

Oil cleansers are made to be gentle on our skin, working with the natural oil in our skin to draw out impurities in our pores as opposed to water based cleansers which may remove sweat-based impurities.

Oil Cleansing is more than just washing your face, it is about getting to know your skin and taking some time to care for yourself.

How to Oil Cleanse:

  • Start by applying 5 drops of your oil cleanser to the palm of you hand and massage into your hands

  • Massage the oil into your face and neck in circular motions

  • Wet a clean washcloth under a warm water and wring out any excess water, open up your cloth and press gently against your face

  • Gently steam your face for about 5 seconds and wash out your cloth and repeat 2 or 3 times

  • Remove any excess oil with your cloth

  • Repeat as desired

  • When you have cleansed your face and neck, you can spritz with some organic rose water and apply a moisturiser or serum if needed

Many people notice a reduction in the appearance of blackheads a short time after switching to an oil cleanser.
